Continuing with the golf theme.
I'll need to work more on the perspective and the proportions, but I like the idea of a trail of anger from a "just missed" putt.
I get mad at golf.

Wheaten
Another non-idea. I thought I'd draw up a cartoony version of one of my Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers.

Random Dude
Just felt like sketching something, so I decided to draw a random guy from the turn of the last century. Kind of looks like Stalin.

Owe 2 huh?
Here's my post for yesterday. I've been a bit sick for the past few days so I'm out of sorts.
I'm working on finishing my "Balloon City" sketch and figured I'd post a "better" sketch:

Betrayal
So earlier today Shigune Matsui gave me an emotional prompt--Betrayal.
So here we are:
I suppose a couple of those icons could be switched around and it'd still be kind of accurate.

Mushroom
Never got around to doing anything with yesterday's sketch. Now I don't really like the idea at all. Here's a different one for the same "Oddball" derby, though I'm quickly running out of time to make anything of it.
(That's supposed to be a mushroom cloud in the back and mushrooms in the front)

We All Have Our Ways
Woot's new derby theme is "Oddballs," and we need to have someone in a group that doesn't quite fit.
Here's a sketch I drew up, but I didn't have time Thursday night to do much with it. Hope to have more time on Friday.

Seasonal Asteroid
This one would make a lot more sense in color. The idea is an asteroid--a rather small one I suppose--that happens to have all the same temperate zones as Earth.

Life's Work
Here's a later WIP for the Daedalus design I'd sketched a while back. Definitely still needs work--that bottom wing and those gears are all a mess.

General Marker
I had an idea a while back for a series of illustrations involving magic marker warfare. I keep tossing the idea back and forth.

WIP-The Tsar's Treasures
A work in progress that I did last night for Woot's "T derby"
I'm focusing more on composition with this one, trying to fit into the Golden Ratio

Plant
Plants
As far as I know are still,
Still bending toward the light
If you haven't gathered yet, many of my recent sketches are rough illustrations of lyrics from MGMT's "Flash Delirium"

Quiet Apprehension
Also with the tablet. One of these days I should get to work on actually finishing some of the sketches I like in this blog.

Seige
What I was going for here, and it didn't come out right, was a ruined city on a desolate landscape with a boat on dry land. Didn't come out--perhaps I should just write rather than sketch?

Whoops again
Not really my fault this time--I didn't have access to my office/guest bedroom.
I cleverly title this "Knight with a Gun"
I like my Roman soldier with a gun better.

Reflections
A colleague has a foam stress ball shaped like a submarine. I picked it up and realized that if the company who makes it wanted to, they could easily flip it upside-down and say it's a blimp. So here we are:

Impostor
Inspired by a conversation on woot about the preferred spelling of "impostor/imposter," I decided to draw up an anatomically correct version for the alternate spelling of the controversial "Imposter." My guess is this has probably been done before, but I'm just too lazy to search.:
I told myself I was above this, but I'm really not. And now that I look at it, that rabbit could really use some work!

The Lonely Island
Don't feel too bad for him though. He's lonely because he's an asshole.
I did this one with a Copic brush pen.

Whoops!
Well, I didn't post it yesterday, but I did, draw it yesterday -- so in my book that counts!
This one's doing a lot better than that other robot one. My robots are hit or miss, and I'm sure they're starting to piss people off.

The Fisherman
Went back to the sketchbook for this one. Though I had to work on a small one--I would have liked to have the scene continued at the bottom, with the water pouring out of the net into a lake or something to that effect.

Balloon City
You'd think a city floating amongst the clouds, suspended by a single balloon, would have enough sense to not have spires on so many buildings.
To each their own I suppose.
Used the tablet on this one too, and I'm not entirely sure if I'm getting anywhere.

Daedalus
I don't have the energy to complete another entry for this derby. And I don't have the clout to get any votes for an entry submitted after Friday.
But I did sketch out how my Daedalus/Icarus design was going to be laid out--the two figures in the foreground with a classical labyrinth pattern in the background. This was on the tablet.

Labyrinths
This week's shirt.woot derby theme is Mazes and Labyrinths.
The entry I've put together so far features the wooden box game Labyrinth and the unfortunate consequences of falling down a hole.
I also hope to draw up a nice Daedalus design, but work will definitely get in the way of subbing that anytime before late Friday.

Prussian Memories
Whether it's done well or not, I really liked the idea behind my Woot entry "Eternal Respects," where a spirit revisits its armor--or longs for its glory days.
Here's another sketch, with a much more alive subject simply remembering the past.
I went with pencil rather than tablet on this one, because I really wanted to do a better job on it :). Though the smoke definitely could use some work, and I originally intended to have much much more of the body in the picture, I think it's a good start.
EDIT:
Wow. I hate you Threadless
